Welcome
Gothic architecture lasted for 400 years. It spread from northern France to England and Western Europe, to Scandinavia and Central Europe, and then to the Near East. By the end of the 1400s, Gothic architecture was replaced by other styles. However, during the 19th century, England, Europe, and the United States created a Victorian style called "Gothic Revival." Medieval styles were added to otherwise "plain" buildings, including small private homes.
